The Amber Combine, part of Rostec, has created a souvenir version of a combat bullet for Defender of the Fatherland Day. The cartridge is made for the legendary Soviet machine gun "Utes" - the case is made of beech, and the bullet itself is made of Baltic amber with a pattern atypical for the mineraloid.

For the manufacture of the amber part, specialists used pressing technology. Under the influence of pressure and temperature, individual fragments of the gem are combined into a single blank. By combining amber of different shades and changing the pressing parameters, the masters achieve a unique pattern inside the bullet.

The Kaliningrad Amber Combine has been part of Rostec since 2013. During this time, the state corporation has invested 4.7 billion rubles in the development of the enterprise. The funds were used to modernize the mining complex, update special equipment and create jewelry production.
