The company "Innovatsionnye motory" has developed an electric motor with a generator function and permanent magnets. This design makes it possible to simultaneously convert electricity into mechanical energy and return part of the energy back to the grid or battery.
The key feature of the design is the absence of an iron core, which slows rotation, increases heating, and reduces efficiency. The engineers separated the motor and generator circuits and placed their magnetic fields in mutually perpendicular planes. This reduces the mutual influence of magnetic fluxes.
The stator was made of a non-magnetic dielectric and divided into two parts. Inside, the electromagnets of the motor circuit were placed, and outside, the generator coils. The design contains no unnecessary metal elements, which reduces eddy currents and heating.
The rotor consists of two discs and a connecting hollow tube. The permanent magnets are fixed without glue and installed with alternating poles. This solution simplifies maintenance and replacement of units.
The developers plan to use the system in electric bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, and electric vehicle motor wheels, where compactness, energy efficiency, and maintainability are important.
