Sverdlovsk JSC "NIIMash" has successfully completed the development of a new single-component fuel tank for a working fluid designed for liquid-propellant rocket engines with low thrust (LPRELT). The project is the result of developments aimed at creating reliable and effective solutions for the space industry.
The main function of the tank is to store and supply working fluids to the LPRELT pipelines. The tank was created using modern materials and technologies that ensure maximum reliability and durability even in extreme space conditions.
The tank is designed for installation in non-hermetic compartments of spacecraft in conditions of outer space, weightlessness and vacuum, which significantly expands the possibilities of its application, NIIMash noted.
JSC "NIIMash" is part of Roscosmos and specializes in the production of low-thrust rocket engines for controlling the flight of spacecraft. In December 2025, the company created a new liquid rocket engine with a thrust of 13.3 N (1.36 kgf).
Also, a new engine plant for satellites worth 1.5 billion rubles was opened at the NIIMash production site.
