The Perm enterprise ODK-STAR, part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec, equipped the laboratory of the A. D. Shvetsov Perm Aviation Technical School with models of key components of the PS-90A and D-30 engines. This will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of the design and operating principles of aviation equipment.
Students majoring in Aviation Engines will now be able to work with the NR-90 pump-regulator, the RED-90 electronic regulator for the PS-90A, and the NR-30 pump-regulator for the D-30. The full-scale training aids will help them understand the hydromechanical and electronic engine control systems, making training more visual and effective.
RED-90 is the first Russian dual-channel full-authority digital regulator, while the NR-90 is one of the most complex pump-regulators for fuel supply and engine control. Both are used in the SAU-90 system. In turn, the NR-30 serves as the main element of the D-30 fuel system, automatically regulating fuel supply in all operating modes.
