At the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (part of OSK), the first Project RSD59 vessel of 2026 was laid down. This was reported by the company\'s press service.
The new dry cargo ship is intended for transporting various types of cargo (metal in bundles and coils, round timber, coal). The vessel also makes it possible to transport hazardous cargo.
Project RSD59 has established itself as one of the most in-demand in the cargo transportation segment thanks to its versatility and reliability. Vessels of this project are equipped with modern technologies that ensure high efficiency and operational safety.
The dry cargo ship can operate at sea, on inland waterways, and in restricted navigation areas.
The next stage of production is the formation of the hull of the Project RSD59 vessel.
