Factory sea trials of the small seagoing tanker "Valentin Rykov" continue in the Baltic Sea

The testing program for Project 03182 includes checking maneuverability and speed

Factory sea trials of the small seagoing tanker "Valentin Rykov" of Project 03182, built at the Volga shipbuilding plant for the needs of the Baltic Fleet, are underway in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

Specialists from the manufacturing plant, together with the vessel's crew, are thoroughly checking the operation of all systems, mechanisms, and units. The trial program includes maneuverability and speed tests aimed at assessing the tanker's operational characteristics.

Upon completion of factory and state trials, the vessel will join the Baltic Fleet and begin carrying out tasks as part of the support vessel detachment.

The tanker has an Arc4 ice class and is intended for the transportation and transfer of liquid and dry cargo, support of ships, waste collection, water area patrol, emergency rescue operations, towing of objects, and can also be used as a firefighting vessel.

The vessel's full displacement is 3,500 tons, and its standard crew consists of 24 people with accommodation available for an additional 8 specialists. A helicopter landing pad for receiving a Ka-27 helicopter is equipped on board.
