The standard-issue Msta-S howitzer increased its firing range to 30 km

Previously, self-propelled artillery systems with such characteristics were supplied only for export

The Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems are now capable of firing at ranges of up to 30 kilometers, addressing the counter-battery warfare problem. This was reported by the senior gunner of the howitzer with the call sign Skelet.

According to him, the system's rate of fire has also increased — to 10 rounds per minute.

The data comes to the commander. The commander inputs it, and the self-propelled artillery system aims itself.

It should be noted that the firing range of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery system depends on the type of projectile used and the system's modification. For example, with a high-explosive fragmentation projectile — 24.7 km, with the guided Krasnopol projectile — up to 25 km, and with export 155-mm projectiles — 30 km.

The vehicle is equipped with advanced control systems that make it possible to use high-precision guided munitions and conduct simultaneous fire raids. It is capable of striking a target with five shells at once, sending them along different trajectories with a spread of up to 360 degrees.
