First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov on February 16 launched a new KamAZ plant for the production of axles for new generation K5 trucks and K3 generation vehicles in the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first car of the brand.
Manturov noted that the development of the production of axles for the new generation of the K5 family of trucks makes it possible to replace the import of these complex units.
Importantly, all their key components are also of Russian origin. Thus, our flagship of the automotive industry continues its course towards technological sovereignty.
The total investment in the project amounted to 6.5 billion rubles. It will allow the production of own-produced products for the entire line of the brand's cars.
