Some iPhone users in Russia have encountered the inability to log in to the "Gosuslugi" portal without using the national messenger Max, according to "Gazeta.Ru".
When attempting to authorize, the system requires confirmation through the application: the user is prompted to download Max, register with a phone number, and receive an access code in a push notification within the messenger.
The issue does not affect all iPhone owners. Some still have the option to skip the confirmation procedure via Max. Android device owners can still log in to the portal without installing the messenger.
The introduction of mandatory authorization via Max only affects a portion of iPhone users and does not extend to the entire "Gosuslugi" audience, but it restricts the usual login methods for Apple device owners.
