If during a video consultation the doctor confirms that the patient is healthy and ready to return to work, the sick leave will be closed without a personal visit. This was reported to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" by Olga Kobyakova, Director of the Central Research Institute for Organization and Informatization of Healthcare of the Ministry of Health.
In cases where additional data or a more thorough diagnosis is needed to assess the condition, the specialist prescribes an in-person appointment.
Sick leave can be closed remotely not only when the patient is ill. The new option also applies to caring for a sick relative, being quarantined, and during epidemics.
Earlier, Telegram founder Pavel Durov stated that the attempt to "prescriptively impose on the population" the Max messenger has no successful examples in world practice. According to him, market leaders in their countries — WeChat in China, KakaoTalk in South Korea, and LINE in Japan — became so thanks to free competition, not government appointment. Only after WeChat won the audience naturally, the state began to integrate its services into it, emphasized Durov.
