A main step-down substation was launched on the grounds of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) after reconstruction. This was reported by the press service of PAO "Yakovlev".
Modernization of the facility will increase the reliability and efficiency of the power supply, as well as reduce electricity losses, the company noted.
The upgraded substation provides the plant with the necessary capacity for the stable production of MC-21 aircraft. The comprehensive reconstruction made it possible to introduce modern equipment and apply high-tech solutions.
Earlier, a modern high-tech treatment complex was commissioned at the IAZ site. It complies with Russian and international environmental standards.
The Irkutsk administration also issued IAZ a permit for the construction of the second phase of the logistics center; the building area will exceed 1.2 hectares.
