At the Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc, they have already assessed the capacity of the baggage compartments of the Russian short-haul SSJ-100 aircraft in comparison with Western airliners. This was reported by Aleksandr Dolotovskiy, director of the Regional Aircraft branch of PAO Yakovlev.
According to him, when operating a similar flight on the Canadian Bombardier CRJ-1000, the carrier had to send part of the baggage on another aircraft.
Royal Air Maroc, which conducted exactly this test drive, noted a distinctive feature in its questionnaire — large overhead baggage bins and large baggage compartments.
The total capacity of the baggage and cargo compartments of the Superjet 100 is approximately 21.76 m³, whereas the Bombardier CRJ-1000 has 19.4 m³. However, the total baggage compartment volume may vary depending on the specific cabin layout.
Earlier, First Technical in a major feature named the countries with which the Russian aviation industry may establish cooperation under Western sanctions.
