One Il-76TD also arrived in the Islamic Republic. Apparently, all of them delivered military cargo, but what exactly it was remains unknown.

The Il-76 is a heavy ramp aircraft. The aircraft is equipped with two onboard cranes, two winches, and a rear ramp with a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons. The maximum payload is 46 tons.

The An-124 Ruslan is one of the highest-capacity cargo aircraft in world history; it first took to the air in 1984. A maximum takeoff weight of 405 tons makes it possible to carry out transport operations of virtually any complexity.

At present, this domestic aircraft has no direct counterparts. The development cost of one such aircraft was estimated at $300 million.
