The new Russian regional aircraft Il-114-300 will arrive at the Wings India 2026 air show with only one stop en route, according to the aircraft's chief designer, Mikhail Alekseev.
According to him, the aircraft will fly with a technical kit and maintenance personnel.
The plane will fly with only one stop, and we will record all materials and results of the systems' operation. For us, this is an additional stage of testing in different climatic zones. During this time, we will visit several time zones and temperature areas, which is a very useful operation for the aircraft.
Managing Director of PJSC "Il" (part of Rostec), Daniil Brenerman, added that the Indian side has shown great interest in the Il-114-300. He recalled that the republic is implementing a large program for the construction of regional airports.
I hope that the live demonstration will bring us closer to signing a contract. The aircraft will be presented at a static display, and it will also perform one demonstration flight.
The Wings India 2026 exhibition will be held in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31, where the import-substituted SJ-100 will also be shown for the first time abroad. Earlier this month, it became known that the Il-114-300 completed the basic program as part of certification.
It should be noted that the design range of the Il-114-300 is about 2000 km with 68 passengers. The ferry range without passengers and cargo with a maximum fuel reserve is 5000 km. For reference, the distance between Lukhovitsy, where the Il-114-300 is assembled, and Hyderabad by air is about 4800-5000 km.
