At the end of 2025, the average price of a new car assembled in Russia reached 1.95 million rubles — 22% higher than in 2024. At the same time, the cost of cars of Chinese brands rose to 3.82 million rubles, and from August to December increased by 8.3%.
The number of ads for Chinese cars on the secondary market has more than halved, while the supply of domestic models has increased by 5%. In general, from the beginning of 2025 to August, the average cost of cars on the market decreased, which was due to an increase in stocks in warehouses. A significant increase in the price of Russian cars is due to the strengthening of new brands such as Tenet and Solaris.
The increase in prices in 2025 is also due to the increase in the cost of components due to the weakening of the ruble, logistical disruptions and new import duties. The share of Chinese brands (Chery, Geely) in the primary market decreased from 62% in 2024 to 55% in 2025 due to market saturation and the transition to localization of production. Domestic assemblies (LADA, Haval in Tula) increased by 12% in volume, which partially compensated for the shortage.
