The Russian government must develop proposals to provide a discount of 50% of the cost of air tickets for passengers under the age of 12. This is stated in an instruction from President Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin press service published a list of instructions following a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects. One of them concerned the possible introduction of benefits for the air transportation of children.
The discount may also apply to fees included in the fare. Responsibility for carrying out the task set by Putin lies with the Cabinet of Ministers, the relevant State Council commissions, and the People's Front.
