The management of Hyundai Motor Group has not yet made a decision on buying back its former plant in St. Petersburg. An informed source told TASS about this.
There is currently no decision, neither positive nor negative.
The interlocutor did not rule out that Hyundai Motor Group had temporarily postponed this issue.
The South Korean manufacturer Hyundai left the Russian market in 2022 due to sanctions. A year later, the company sold the plant in St. Petersburg to a structure of AGR Automotive Group.
Last year, Hyundai registered more than 35 trademarks in Russia. Auto experts suggested that the concern had decided to return to Russia.
