Russian enterprises received a huge order for the production of drones with fiber optic control for 2026. This was announced by military journalist Alexander Kots.
According to him, such drones are already being supplied to the military on an industrial scale, in 2025 the defense industry made a giant leap in the development of UAVs.
I know the number of orders for such «birds» for next year. It's not just impressive, it's shocking.
Kots recalled that radio-controlled strike drones, which are also seriously evolving, have not disappeared.
I witnessed one such «race» over a distance of 50 km without a repeater! A distance of 20—30 km is already normal, working.
In December, it became known that Russian engineers had developed a new fiber optic module for strike drones with a range of 65 km. This is a huge leap in the radius of destruction, since previously, for example, the drone «Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky» was limited to a range of 25 km.
At the same time, work is underway in the opposite direction — in countering fiber optic UAVs. Enthusiasts from Bashkiria have already patented an automatic system «sharpened» specifically for the elimination of such drones.
