The meeting dedicated to the inclusion of the ship in the fleet was conducted by the Deputy Commander of the Primorsky Flotilla of Mixed Forces of the Pacific Fleet, Rear Admiral Alexander Schwartz.

In his speech, Rear Admiral congratulated the crew on the commissioning of the new vessel and noted the importance of hydrographic works for ensuring the safety of navigation and combat readiness of the fleet. He expressed confidence that "Vasily Bubnov" will continue the traditions of reliability and efficiency established by its predecessor — MGS "Alexander Rogotsky", also of project 19910, successfully operated in the Far East.
