Tavria has automated the material cutting area at the factory in Syzran. The company has started producing seat upholstery for Lada Iskra cars. This was reported by the manufacturer's press service.
Currently, the factory produces four upholstery configurations in black and gray tones with contrasting decorative stitching and bright inserts. The Lada Iskra interior uses dirt-repellent fabric.
Investments in the development of production amounted to almost 22 million rubles, including 10 million rubles received from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF). The funding was used to purchase 2 automated conveyor-type cutting complexes under a lease agreement. With their help, it is possible to produce up to 83 thousand products per year.
The company's products are also used for Lada Granta and Niva seats. Tavria's management expects that after the modernization, production volume will increase by 37% to 300 thousand seat upholstery sets per year.
