It is planned to assemble slightly more than 3,000 Lada Iskra cars at the car factory in St. Petersburg. This plan is scheduled for the end of the year, according to AvtoVAZ head Maxim Sokolov.
By the end of the year, a little over 3,000 Lada Iskra cars will be assembled in St. Petersburg. In total, for St. Petersburg and Togliatti, we have reached a rate of 15 cars per hour.
In Togliatti and St. Petersburg, working shifts on the assembly line are eight hours. Sokolov noted that the assembly lines can operate at different speeds.
The top manager also spoke about the production of the Lada Aura model. He explained that the utilization of production lines is low.
The localization of the model exceeds 90%, but government purchases, unfortunately, are still sluggish.
