The first "Atom" electric vehicles will appear on public roads in Russia in the spring of 2026. This was reported by the press service of PJSC "KAMAZ".
The electric vehicle will be produced in 3 modifications:
- for private use
- for taxi
- for car sharing
"Atom" service centers will open in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and several other cities in Russia.
Nikita Berezovsky, Brand Director of JSC "KAMA" (the electric vehicle development company), said that "Atom" was created taking into account the Russian climate. Its prototype can be seen in the exhibition area of the Visit Center of PJSC "KAMAZ" in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The electric vehicle implemented a number of ideas from the "KAMA-1" project, which was handled by the KAMAZ Scientific and Technical Center: a screen built into the steering wheel, rear doors that open not forward, but in the opposite direction.
"Atom" is an original car with a number of unique technical solutions, Nazarenko added. He expressed hope that domestic drivers will appreciate the novelty.
