Russia and India are negotiating cooperation in the production of aircraft engines, which also includes the supply of domestic power plants to the republic. This was announced by the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, Russia and India are already launching joint projects in aircraft construction with production on the territory of the republic.
Negotiations are underway on the production of aircraft engines, we are transferring certain technologies. We are indeed transferring many technologies, so it is not just buying and selling. There are certain technologies that cannot be transferred to others. But, of course, we will be ready to share with India everything that is possible.
It should be reminded that Russia used to sell RD-33 engines to India for the MiG-29 and AL-55I for training aircraft.
In addition, the Russian side is considering localizing the production of the latest medium-range SJ-100 with PD-8 engines in this country.
