The SSJ-100 aircraft with tail number RA-89126 of the «Rossiya» airline was stopped on the taxiway at Pulkovo Airport after the appearance of a burning smell with signs of smoke in the cabin. An alarm was promptly declared at the air harbor, and an emergency rescue team was called.
A message about the failure of the air cooling device in the right-hand line of the air conditioning system appeared on the pilots' warning display.
The pilots shut down the problematic line, after which the burning smell decreased, and then stopped the aircraft on the taxiway for a normal disembarkation of 80 passengers and their subsequent delivery to the terminal.
During the post-flight inspection of the Superjet 100, engineering personnel discovered a foreign object in the area of the reversing device's swivel flap of the first engine. The aircraft was removed from operation for a more detailed inspection of the engine and the performance of work.
Last week, a Sukhoi Superjet 100 flight from Vladivostok to Blagoveshchensk made an emergency landing at Khabarovsk Airport after a part of the SaM146 engine's skin tore off right in flight. As a reminder, the discussion of replacing the French-Russian unit with the domestic PD-8 is already underway.
