Aeroflot plans to make the structure of air tickets transparent and show passengers how its cost is formed. This was announced by the company's CEO, Sergei Alexandrovsky, at the "Transport Week 2025" forum.
The airline intends to present a more convenient format for displaying the fare, where all cost components will be visible, including airport fees. Thus, buyers will be able to understand what part of the price is occupied by airport services and how their cost changes depending on the direction. Alexandrovsky noted that this will allow passengers to see the real reasons for the change in tariffs and assess the dynamics of growth of individual components.
The head of Aeroflot stressed that today passengers are primarily interested in the final price, and not the cost structure. However, airlines have to conduct a difficult dialogue with customers, since the cost of transportation for carriers, according to him, is significantly lower than that of airports.
Alexandrovsky proposed to develop a more balanced pricing mechanism to ensure transparency and fairness of tariffs.
Earlier, the CEO of Aeroflot noted that Russian airlines faced a multiple increase in maintenance costs at airports after their modernization. This, in turn, may lead to a further increase in ticket prices.
