Aeroflot Develops Progressive Web Application for Ticket Purchases: Available on Android, iOS, and PC

Users will be able to search for tickets, manage bookings, and accumulate miles through a unified interface

Aeroflot has developed a progressive web application (PWA) for ticket purchases, the airline's press service reported.

The new service is adapted for all modern operating systems and browsers. It can be installed on smartphones and tablets running Android and iOS, as well as on personal computers.

With the application, passengers will not only be able to search for and purchase tickets, but also book subsidized flights, use their Aeroflot Bonus personal account, check in for flights, learn about special offers, pay for additional services, and manage bookings.

Deputy General Director for Information Technology Anton Matskevich clarified in an interview with Aeroflot's corporate magazine that the web application is already ready for launch for iOS users. According to him, PWA combines the advantages of a mobile application and a website, offering an intuitive interface and personalized offers.

For more accurate tariff settings, the airline is forming a digital model of the route network. Artificial intelligence analyzes requests in real time to offer the optimal ticket price and increase revenue through dynamic pricing.

The development was carried out by the subsidiary IT company AFLT-Systems with the participation of specialists from leading Russian universities. The project also used the experience of Sber and MTS in the field of digital solutions.

In the future, the system will use an automatic voice assistant that adapts intonation based on user preferences. This will be possible thanks to the integration of the company's information systems on a single analytical platform.
