PAO "TMZ", a subsidiary of "KAMAZ" in the Yaroslavl Region, has received a certificate of compliance for the 8483.10 "Etalon" engines with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of agricultural and forestry tractors and trailers for them".
The new series of TMZ engines with a capacity of 272–342 kW (370–465 hp) features improved performance, which directly affects the consumer properties of the equipment.
According to Alexander Shevtsov, Deputy Chief Designer of PAO "TMZ", the new cast-iron cylinder head, modernized piston and AZPI nozzle, combined with the proven YAZDA fuel pump and M230 SOATE electronic control unit, provide reduced fuel consumption and heat transfer, as well as increased tractor performance without changing motor systems.
The working volume of the 8483.10 "Etalon" engines is 30–50% larger than that of competitors. This reduces fuel combustion pressure and temperature, reduces the load on basic parts, and increases the reliability of the power plant and the tractor as a whole.
The effectiveness of the design changes has been confirmed by bench testing and certification tests at the Scientific and Technical Center of PAO "KAMAZ".
The 8483.10 "Etalon" engines are maximally unified with the 8481.10 engines in terms of the main components, including the cylinder head and gas distribution mechanism, cylinder-piston group parts, crankshaft bearings, oil and fuel filters. Owners of equipment with 8481.10 engines will be able to reduce personnel training costs, use the same operating materials, and apply uniform methods and techniques for maintenance.
The original components of the new series are produced in the Russian Federation, which preserves the supply channels for spare parts and the ability for consumers to use government support measures when purchasing equipment with 8483.10 "Etalon" engines.
