The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) plans to build the first опытный образец of the turboprop regional aircraft (TVRS-44) «Ладога» by the end of 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
The first flight of the ТВРС-44 «Ладога» is expected in mid-2026.
In the coming years, the manufacturer plans to obtain a number of certificates, including:
- for the TV7-117ST-02 engine (in 2026)
- aircraft type certificate (in 2029)
The supervisory authority also added that an application for aircraft certification is currently in progress.
About the ТВРС-44) «Ладога»
The new regional aircraft should replace the outdated Soviet models An-24, An-26, and Yak-40. It can carry up to 44 passengers. In the future, the developers want to create an extended version of the «Ладога» with 58 passenger seats.
