The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) plans to build the first prototype of the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" turboprop regional aircraft by the end of 2025, according to the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
The first flight of the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" is expected in mid-2026.
In the coming years, the manufacturer plans to obtain a number of certificates, including:
- for the TV7-117ST-02 engine (in 2026)
- aircraft type certificate (in 2029)
The supervisory authority also added that an application for aircraft certification is currently in progress.
About TVRS-44 "Ladoga"
The new regional aircraft is intended to replace the outdated Soviet models An-24, An-26, and Yak-40. It can carry up to 44 passengers. In the future, the developers want to create an extended version of the "Ladoga" with 58 passenger seats.
