The 14.5 mm Vladimirov large-caliber machine gun (KPVT) has begun to be used to destroy drones. For this purpose, a Krechet+ thermal imaging sighting system was installed on it, and footage of the alteration appeared online.
The sight has artificial intelligence elements for more effective detection and tracking of targets. Previously, "Krechet+" was used to counter kamikaze boats at sea.
In the footage that appeared online, it can be seen that aiming at an aerial target has now become much easier. Operators target drones not with the "eye", but through a small display.
