Modified T-90S "Bhishma" tanks, developed by "Uralvagonzavod" (UVZ, part of the "Rostec" Group), were showcased at the joint exercises between India and Russia at the "Mahajan" training ground. The video was released by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The combat vehicles received a modified chassis for better mobility in high-altitude areas and a digital battlefield management system (BMS) for coordination with other forces.
In the early 2000s, "Uralvagonzavod" supplied a large batch of T-90s to India. Later, specialists from the Russian concern helped organize licensed production of these tanks in the country. Currently, the T-90S and T-72 are the backbone of the Indian ground forces' strike power.
The Indian "Bhishma" tank combines the advantages of Russian tank-building technologies with French thermal sights and local additions.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of T-90M "Proryv" tanks introduced a four-day work week for some employees.
