Test Pilot Roman Taskaev: "Look at the MC-21 - It's a Special Aesthetic of Engineering Precision"

The pilot stated that testing a civilian aircraft is a whole science

The new Russian aircraft "MC-21 is a special aesthetic of engineering precision." This was stated by test pilot Roman Taskaev.

According to the test pilot, his first experience of flying the MC-21 aircraft, equipped with Western onboard systems and a Pratt & Whitney PW1400G engine, took place in 2017.

Yes, by nature I am a fighter tester. But when I started working with a civilian aircraft, I realized that testing here is a whole science. The MC-21 has its own "graphic pattern on metal", a special aesthetic of engineering precision. This is a very interesting job.
Roman Taskaev, test pilot, Director of Flight Testing at PJSC "Yakovlev", Hero of the Russian Federation

Taskaev noted that the MC-21 was originally created using foreign parts, but the 310 model has almost completely switched to domestic components.

Roman Petrovich emphasized the role of teamwork of engineers, the tradition of pre-flight inspection, trust in the technical staff, as well as the importance of mentors, thanks to whom the dreams of young pilots are realized.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the legendary Be-12 flying boat turned 65 years old.
