Kamikaze Drones "Geran-2" Trained to Hit Moving Targets

Drones equipped with thermal homing head and video link

Modernized Geran-2 strike drones are now capable of hitting even moving targets. The design and equipment of kamikaze drones have been seriously changed.

Apparently, the "Geran" received a thermal homing head (seeker) and a video link, thanks to which they can capture moving targets in the target designator and dive sharply at them.

He recalled that the "Geran-2" in the basic version is not equipped with the function of control by an operator or autonomous guidance, therefore, they hit only static targets.

At the same time, guidance using predetermined coordinates is gradually becoming a thing of the past. Target designation for "Geran" began to be issued by SKAT 350M reconnaissance drones, which see the impact surface from a high altitude in the optical range.

"Geran" are equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing up to 90 kg. This design is aimed at increasing the damaging effect.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a Russian swarm of drones will be controlled from a group of satellites.
