India decided to purchase Su-57 fighters from Russia, as they proved their superiority over Western competitors, including the French Rafale, in combat conditions. This was stated by military analyst Alexei Leonkov, emphasizing that Russian equipment combines reliability and affordable price, which competitors cannot offer.
According to him, the Su-57 demonstrates the best value for money, while foreign models do not meet expectations.
The French claimed that the Rafale would give India an advantage in potential conflicts with Pakistan or China. But in a crisis situation, the Rafale did not perform well. But Russian systems worked flawlessly. The next generation of aircraft is being created on the basis of the best technologies, and the Su-57 will be relevant for at least 20-30 years
He recalled that Russian equipment had already proven itself in a real conflict. During the escalation on the border between India and Pakistan, the French Rafale, despite the promises of the manufacturers, failed to confirm the declared advantage. But the Russian Su-30MKI and S-400 systems showed efficiency and reliability, especially when used together.
Russian militaryappreciated the new Su-57. They stated that the combat aircraft can be compared to an "alien ship." The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, also emphasized that the Su-57 is in many ways superior to foreign counterparts, as it participates in real combat operations.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatthe manufacturer of the S-500 Prometheus air defense system demanded almost 300 million rubles from the Saratov Aggregate Plant.
