Head of Roscosmos Dmitry Bakanov: Growth in the number of UAVs has exceeded forecasts, both in the civilian and military spheres

Russia is working on creating hybrid satellite constellations to control drones. This was announced by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.

According to him, the growth in the number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has exceeded all forecasts in both the civilian and military spheres.

Colleagues from Dmitry Peskov's NTI fund are working on the issue of creating hybrid groupings, hybrid not from the point of view of the communication network satellite and ground-based, hybrid from the point of view of targeting — communication, navigation and optics in one device for controlling drone groupings.

Bakanov also noted that over the next 10 years in Russia will build and launch about 300 rockets. This means that the country will produce and launch 20 to 30 rockets annually.

In addition, the company "Bureau 1440" will spend 445 billion rubles to create a satellite constellation to provide high-speed Internet throughout the country — an analogue of Starlink.
