In Russia, cybercriminals have begun to specifically target school teachers. They use various fraud schemes to obtain money.
Educational institutions have once again become a target for cybercriminals. Attacks are being carried out in several directions, leading to significant financial losses.
Criminals send messages to teachers, posing as superiors. Teachers are offered to transfer money to a special account, supposedly to prevent inspections. In addition, hackers hack into teachers' personal accounts on social networks. After that, on behalf of the teachers, they ask parents to transfer money allegedly for the needs of the school.
Another method of fraud is the use of an electronic diary. Attackers ask children to report codes from SMS messages. Also, criminals can pretend to be school nurses and demand money from children online under the pretext of a medical examination.
