The four-deck cruise ship "Vladimir Zhirinovsky" of the PV300VD project (formerly known as "Peter the Great") will make its first commercial voyage in 2026. This was reported by the Southern Center for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (YuTsSS, part of USC).
The ship is designed as a "floating hotel" and includes full balconies and terraces, a bow observation lounge, a "sun" deck, a swimming pool, and an observation lounge. The ship's passenger capacity is 310 people, for whom 155 cabins of various classes are provided.
The vessel is being built by order of PJSC "Moscow River Shipping Company". The ship is expected to embark on its first commercial voyage next year.
The ship was laid down at the Lotos shipyard in 2016. It was originally planned to be handed over to the customer in April 2019, but the deadlines were repeatedly disrupted due to the need to change ship equipment and a number of technical problems at the shipyard. The ship was launched for completion at the end of May 2019, but the completion of the work was delayed.
In early 2025, YuTsSS announced its intention to deliver the cruise ship this year. However, in September, it became known about the decision to relocate the ship from Astrakhan to the Northwestern Shipyard of USC to complete construction work.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the PV300VD project cruise ship will be completed at the Baltic Shipyard of USC in St. Petersburg.
