The diesel-electric submarine "Komsomolsk-on-Amur" of the Pacific Fleet went to sea to practice elements of the L-3 course task. These exercises are a key element of the submarine's training program to perform its main tasks.
In accordance with the combat training plan, the crew of the "Komsomolsk-on-Amur" submarine performed a deep-sea dive to 90 meters in the marine training ground of the Sea of Japan.
During the descent underwater, the team inspected the functioning of all units and assemblies of the submarine, studied the procedure for navigating the ship at significant depths, as well as various methods of ascent to the water surface.
At the end of the underwater stage of training, the submarine team surfaced and continued to perform tasks in accordance with the combat training schedule of the Pacific Fleet.
The crews of the rescue ship "Igor Belousov" and the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributs" participated in ensuring the deep-sea dive of the submarine.
B-187 "Komsomolsk-on-Amur" is a Russian diesel-electric submarine of Project 877 "Paltus".

- Endurance: 45 days.
- Crew: 57 people, including 12 officers.

- Armament: 6 bow TA caliber 533 mm, normally charged, with automatic loading, 18 torpedoes or 24 mines.
