The Software Department of the Aviation Register of Russia has successfully completed SOI#3 "Verification" inspections of the component products "Electronic Engine Regulator RED-8" and "Engine Protection Unit BZD-8". This was reported by the press service of the department.
The components for power plants were developed at the facilities of "UEC-STAR" (part of the United Engine Corporation) in the Perm region. The company participates in the main programs of Russian engine building — PD-14, PD-8, PD-35 engines.
Also, "UEC-STAR" specializes in the production of automatic control systems for aircraft engines. They have implemented new digital solutions for servicing.
Each unit is individually marked with a QR code, which allows operators to quickly obtain complete information about the equipment, including service history and answers to frequently asked questions.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that UEC will provide round-the-clock maintenance for PD-8 and PD-14 for airlines.
