Lada Niva Travel has received vehicle type approval (OTTS) for an updated version with a 1.8-liter engine (model P3P). The 1.7-liter engine will remain in production, but the updated design will be available exclusively for the car with the new engine.
The new engine with a displacement of 1.8 liters and 8 valves will first appear in the Lada Niva Travel. In 2026, it is planned to adapt it for the three-door Niva Legend.
The engine develops a maximum power of 90 horsepower and a torque of 153 Nm. This gives it greater traction compared to the previous 1.7-liter version.
Acceleration of the Lada Niva Travel with the new engine to 100 km/h takes 16 seconds, which is significantly faster than the current version, where this figure is 19 seconds. This update promises to improve the dynamic characteristics of the car and attract the attention of buyers.
