The share of Russian-made aircraft in the fleet of Russian airlines will reach 30% by 2028. This is according to the documentation of the state program "Development of the Aviation Industry."
The document states that this figure should reach 20% in 2026, and 25% in 2027.
At the same time, the share of domestically produced helicopters in the fleet of the largest air carriers in the Russian Federation should increase to 89% by 2028.
The goal of the state program is to meet the needs of domestic carriers with Russian-made aircraft, with achieving by 2030 shares of domestically produced aircraft and helicopters in the fleet of the largest Russian air carriers of at least 50% and 90%, respectively.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, previously stated that it is necessary to legally enshrine the achievement of a 50% share of domestic aircraft in the fleets of Russian airlines.
