A detachment of warships from the Northern Fleet, consisting of the large anti-submarine ship (ASW) "Severomorsk" (Project 1155) and the large landing ship (LST) "Alexander Otrakovsky" (Project 775), arrived in the port of Dudinka (an Arctic seaport on the Northern Sea Route). This was reported by the fleet's press service.
The Russian ships completed tasks in the Barents, Norwegian, and Kara Seas. In addition, the Northern Fleet sailors participated in exercises to ensure the safety of Russia's maritime economic activities. The maneuvers took place in the Dezhnev Bay of the Franz Josef Land archipelago.
ASW "Severomorsk" and LST "Alexander Otrakovsky" were involved in the joint strategic exercise "Zapad – 2025" with Belarus. Then, the detachment of warships made an Arctic transit from the port of Dixon (located in the southeastern part of the Kara Sea at the entrance to the Yenisei Bay).
An exhibition is deployed on the large landing ship "Alexander Otrakovsky" as part of the "Strength in Truth" campaign. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn about the formations and units of the Northern Fleet.
Ships of the Northern Fleet first entered the port of Dudinka in 2015. This year, the Northern Fleet sailors arrived in Taimyr for the 10th time.
