The exercises were conducted on Alexandra Land Island of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. According to the scenario, the sailors had to recapture a bridgehead seized by illegal armed groups. After reconnaissance of the area, the soldiers reported the coordinates of the targets to the command of "Severomorsk."

The crew of the BPK launched an artillery strike from AK-100 guns on the positions of the mock enemy. A Ka-27 deck helicopter transferred a unit of marines to the shore.

Later, the large landing ship (BDK) "Alexander Otrakovsky" approached the coastline. The military personnel organized the landing of the UR-77 self-propelled rocket mine clearing unit, as well as two-section all-terrain vehicles.
