Rosatom Supplied Turkey with a Reactor Vessel for the Nuclear Power Plant Under Construction

Power generation at the first power unit of the Akkuyu NPP is scheduled to begin in late 2026, according to Turkish Deputy Minister of Energy Zafer Demircan.

By the end of 2028, we plan to have all the station's reactors commissioned. Thus, thanks to the Akkuyu NPP, we will be able to cover 10% of the total electricity consumption and reduce emissions by 35 million tons.
