The new modification of the Russian"Geran" is capable of building a network, acting as a group and hunting moving objects, which the basic version of the drone, which worked according to the entered coordinates, could not do.
We have already recorded the possibility of the "Geran" attacking targets in motion. This has not happened before. "Geran" with a 50 kilogram warhead is a powerful weapon, of course, not as maneuverable as an FPV drone, but it is able to hit a moving target quite effectively.
Modern "Geran" not only receive signals from the operator, but can also act as repeaters, amplifying them for transmission to other drones. Moreover, the latest modifications of the "Geran" are capable of conducting reconnaissance, identifying the positions of air defense systems and targeting them, as they are operated by operators.
Another, but very important difference of the new version of the "Geran" is the ability to work on moving targets. The Russian army has a great opportunity to knock out rolling stock in the enemy's deep rear.
According to previous reports, the "Geran" are equipped with a 90-kilogram high-explosive fragmentation warhead, the peculiarity of which is the presence of ready-made fragments. This design is aimed at increasing the damaging effect.
