Ил-76 не подошли: Индия передумала покупать российские военно-транспортные самолёты

The Indian Air Force operates 17 Il-76 aircraft, which were purchased from the USSR in the early 1980s

The Indian Air Force has revised its plans to acquire the Russian Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft. This decision is due to the need to update the aging fleet of previous Il-76 modifications, scheduled for decommissioning by 2035.

The Russian platform was excluded due to persistent concerns about its operational readiness level, which does not meet the Air Force's established threshold of 75% for the transport fleet.
