Aviation industry expert Alexei Zakharov warned that if the Kazan Aviation Plant continues to produce the Tu-214 in single copies, then the cost of each aircraft will be prohibitively high.
According to the publication 116.ru, the cost of one Tu-214 aircraft is at the level of 5.6 billion rubles.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, noted that the Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ) had startedassembling the second Tu-214 aircraft.
