If the Kazan Aviation Plant produces Tu-214 aircraft in single units, the cost of each aircraft will be high. This was stated by aviation expert Alexei Zakharov.
Zakharov recalled that the first Tu-214s will be produced individually, which means that the cost of each aircraft will be high.
With such a small production run, the cost is high. Even if you keep 8,000 people at the factory, and the factory makes two planes a year, it is clear that these planes could just as easily be cast entirely from gold.
According to 116.ru, the cost of one Tu-214 aircraft is at the level of 5.6 billion rubles.
The Russian aviation industry plans to produce at least 20 Tu-214 aircraft annually by 2027-2028, noted First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. Also, according to the politician, the aircraft will be released in a cargo version.
Tu-214 is a medium-range passenger aircraft that can accommodate up to 210 passengers. It is produced at the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov (KAZ).
Earlier www1.ru reported that 400 million rubles were allocated for the modernization of the Tu-214.
