A modern mechanical processing production facility with an area of over 30,000 square meters has been put into operation at the Kazan Helicopter Plant (KVZ, part of the Russian Helicopters holding of Rostec). It is planned to manufacture a wide range of parts for aircraft here.
The expansion of production opens up new opportunities for KVZ to create new jobs. The staffing is also being completed.
In recent years, KVZ has significantly increased its output. I am confident that the expansion of space and the use of the most modern domestic machine tools in critical production areas will ensure increased labor productivity and contribute to the further development of the enterprise.
Sergey Chemezov, Head of Rostec, clarified that the mechanical assembly production facility will increase labor productivity through the introduction of automated lines, improved working conditions and modernization of the technical fleet.
The workshop is equipped with modern turning, milling and universal CNC machines, as well as robotic systems.
KVZ has put several production facilities into operation in the last two and a half years. In particular, in 2024, a production and training center for 3,500 students, a final assembly shop with an area of 32,000 square meters, and a flight test complex were launched.
On Tuesday, September 2, the first flight of the import-substituted Ansat helicopter with VK-600V engines took place at the KVZ site. The company also produces the Mi-8 and Mi-38.
