High-speed train production for HSR started at "Ural Locomotives"

The new train will have eight cars, four classes of service and will be able to carry more than 450 passengers

On September 2, the welding of the body of the first Russian high-speed train began at the Ural Locomotives plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Such trains will run between Moscow and St. Petersburg, accelerating to 400 km/h.

A new production complex for high-speed trains is currently being built at the Ural Locomotives plant. Its area will reach 67 thousand square meters, and investments in the project will amount to 44 billion rubles. The completion of construction, which is being carried out by "Sinara-Development", is scheduled for the end of 2026.

With the launch of the complex for the production of trains for HSR, it will be possible to simultaneously produce up to 300 cars of high-speed and high-speed electric trains per year.

The new train will have eight cars, four classes of service and will be able to carry more than 450 passengers. It will feature an aerodynamic shape, which will reduce noise and energy consumption.
