Nine milling processing centers with domestic numerical control have replenished the workshops of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the press service of PJSC "Yakovlev" reported.
An important feature of the new machines is that they are equipped with CNC from the Russian manufacturer "Mechatronica" as part of the import substitution program.
The new centers are unique in that they have five coordinates, not three, i.e. the rotary-tilting table rotates 360 degrees and tilts in different planes at different angles.
The part or cutting tool moves along five axes simultaneously. This allows the employee to manufacture more complex products. They are processed from all sides, and do not need to be removed and rearranged in the process. The machines are designed for the manufacture of parts in the interests of the MC-21-310 program.
In addition to the civilian airliner, the Irkutsk Aviation Plant produces new fourth-generation Su-30SM2 fighters.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a millionth titanium ingot for the construction of the MC-21 and SJ-100 was smelted in Russia.
